What is UFO Connect?

UFO Connect is a revolutionary mobile application consisting of educational and interactive tools involved in the UFO phenomena. The mobile application consists of free and pay for modules with varying capabilities. This application was constructed for volunteers to help better communicate and educate MUFONs (Mutual UFO Network) primary mission to "The Scientific Study of UFO's for the Benefit of Humanity". The mobile application consists of three main modules, MUFON Mobil App, UFO Search and Skywatch Alert.

The MUFON Mobil Application allows the user to freely navigate MUFON's online content from the comfort of their iPhone and iPad. This module also provides some quick tips and educational material on investigating the UFO Phenomena.

UFO Search is a comprehensive application that allows the user to search the MUFON database quickly and easily while on the go. MUFON's database holds 10s of thousands of reports spread out all over the world. This application will allow users to really dive into what people are reporting and acts as a handy research tool while in the field.

Skywatch Alert is the UFO Connect's flagship application. This module will revolutionize how the general public interacts and witness the phenomena we have come to know as UFOs. This application works much like the well known Amber Alert system for missing persons and law enforcement activity except the users are in control. This application will give the users the power to witness the UFO events as they are happening. Users will be able to not only monitor their preferred customized Alert areas but will also have the ability to alert everyone of a live witnessed event. Simply the user fills out the report form, takes a picture or video of a ufo sighting and alerts any user in the area of their customized alert preferences. The purpose of these functions is to put the power of disclosure and understanding of the UFO phenomena in the peoples hands instantly.

How to Use UFO Connect?

UFO Connect is easy to use and simple to navigate through. Simply activate the application and use the easy pinwheel menu to scroll and find the application or function you wish to perform. There are help menus in each module and way to connect with the application support team. Who is MUFON?

MUFON officially began on May 31, 1969. At that time it was known as the Midwest UFO Network. As it outgrew the Midwestern state boundaries to become a world class UFO organization, the name was changed to Mutual UFO Network. That allowed the acronym MUFON to remain as the organization matured. Allen Utke, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Wisconsin State University was selected as the first MUFON Director. A year later Walter H.Andrus, Jr., replaced Dr. Utke as the MUFON Director, a position he held until 2000 when he retired and John F. Schuessler took over as International Director. Who Made UFO Connect?

Protovisual consists of MUFON members and Investigators who partnered up to create a company that Prototypes new technology, products and software applications, namely mobile applications. Protovisual is a registered Apple and Droid application developer and is located out of Southwest Florida. Along with the help of Protovisual Staff, RT Design Group was retained to help develop the application to a professional scale in both design and programming. Proceeds of the application go to help fund the nonprofit organization of the Mutual UFO Network and to further the mission to share and educate the public about UFO's.

After downloading the app review the locked modules UFO Search and Skywatch Alert and purchase both or one of your choice. Understand the MUFON Mobile Application module comes free with the initial download of UFO Connect. Q: Is UFO connect one app or multiple apps?

A: It's both! UFO Connect is a single application, or "App" that is based on Apple's iOS tm, that's a free download, within it are three modules. Two of those internal modules in the one app, are then activated via iTunes tm, this is a one-time amount that will activate them. The free module is called: MUFON Mobile Application module. The paid modules are called: UFO search and Skywatch Alert. Each module has unique capabilities for your use and connection instantly into the UFO community online, via your Apple tm based mobile device.


Q: If you MUFON did not make the app then who did?

A: MUFON Field Investigators and Volunteers had design input, in order to make the dynamic framework of the UFO Connect App. However, since MUFON is a non-profit organization, legally the creators of the app proceeded to form an LLC called Protovisual in order to trademark and copyright the app, and use private, secure funding to cover the programming and development costs. Protovisual, LLC will also be creating other apps for the UFO/Scientific community in the future, that will benefit their organizations, as will MUFON from UFO Connect.
